About the role

Forward Deployed Engineers are the people our customers meet first and remember longest. You join a team that wants to route its traffic through Nicrron, run Ninoo Code in its repositories or ship something with the Builder, and you own the outcome: the integration, the evaluation that proves it works and the first weeks in production.

The role sits between engineering and the customer. Half of the week you write code against the customer's stack: SDK swaps, routing and fallback policy, evals, cost dashboards. The other half you carry what you learned back into the product, so the next customer needs less of you.

You will work directly with the founders and the engineers who build the gateway and the agents, with a short line between a customer's problem on Monday and a change in production on Wednesday.

What you’ll do

  • 01Run integrations end to end: discovery, architecture, the code, the cutover and the first month of traffic.
  • 02Design routing, fallback and caching policy across 65+ models to hit a customer's latency, quality and cost targets.
  • 03Build evaluation harnesses that show, with numbers, that the new setup is better than what it replaced.
  • 04Deploy Ninoo Code into customer repositories and CI, and teach teams how to get real work out of it.
  • 05Be the escalation point for your accounts and turn recurring issues into product changes.
  • 06Write the runbooks, sample code and internal notes that make the next deployment faster.

What we look for

  • Four or more years shipping production software, with real depth in TypeScript or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs in production: prompting, tool use, streaming, evals and cost control.
  • You are comfortable in a customer's codebase and infrastructure on day one, without a map.
  • Clear written and spoken communication with engineers, product leads and executives.
  • Ownership: you stay with a problem until the customer says it is solved, not until the ticket closes.

Nice to have

  • Experience at an API or infrastructure company in a solutions, forward deployed or founding engineer role.
  • Familiarity with coding agents and agent harnesses beyond using them.
  • Kubernetes, Terraform or the AWS primitives our customers run on.
  • Time zones overlapping with US Pacific and India, since most customers are there.
